Carly has two main modes - playful, cuddly couch pet or fastest Irish Water Spaniel! Although Carly earned her championship impressively with 5 major wins, obedience and field are her preferred venues. She is competitive and borderline obsessive about retrieving, but also has good self control and line manners. Her natural marking ability is excellent and I have Senior/Master Hunter aspirations for her. She earned her IWSCA Working Certificate at the Irish Water Spaniel National Specialty in May of 2026 and is currently doing handling and blind work. She is very clever, fun to train, and loves children. She is incredibly kind and gets along with any dog she meets, even deliberately getting down low to meet small dogs at the clinic so that she does not intimidate them.
